"A Walk in the Wash" chronicles a brief but thought-provoking late afternoon trek through the North Vegas Flood Control Channel. What began as a simple search for a new skate spot turned into something completely different, yet much more memorable.
Surrounded with the city's sediments and urban rubble, we found ourselves in a wasteland of wonders, where bits and pieces of civilization spoke to us from beyond their once watery, but now bone-dry, graves.
At first, I just took pictures. I've always been fascinated by scenes of neglect, decay and abandonment. In the spirit of random spontaneity, I was going to stick them in the next BARF issue…
But the further we walked down the wash, the more voices I heard…from a mere trickle to a flash flood of inspiration. And when the tide settled, a new zine emerged.
