Serial Box: Fortified w/10 Essential Mini-Zines

In my ever random and inquisitive nature, I'm prone to making mini-zines on virtually anything I encounter, be it found items on a street, or even people I may meet or observe. Lately I'd amassed quite a few of these mini-zines, and thought it would be nice to compile them into a volume. But how would I contain them?

I found a solution while I was about to throw away a couple of old cereal boxes. Being a package designer, I know decent cardboard when I feel it, so I went ahead and took some specs, and fashioned a box out of the cereal box panels. It worked like a charm. And hey, what do you know—since they're housing a collection, a series... why not call them... Serial Boxes? It was a match made in heaven.

From then on, I saved each cereal box we went through and added them to the collection. Hence, each Serial Box is unique in design, completely hand-cut, scored and folded. In addition, they all include a tab-locking flap to keep your precious mini-zines safe and secure within.

Each Serial Box includes the following 8-page mini-zines:

"Chris" - A chance encounter with a homeless man.
"Comfort" - An inflatable monkey greets me at the gas station.
"Different" - A political candidate's sign gets defaced. Why?
"Freedom" - Thoughts on Independence Day fireworks.
"Longing" - A love lost, found, or never to be?
"Patience" - Every Angeleno needs it in traffic.
"Remains" - Traces of life in a patch of grass. But whose life is it?
"Starving?" - Do all artists starve?
"Sweet" - Pastries on a street corner. To whom do they belong?
"Temporary" - Nothing lives forever.
